Power Supply – Placeholder

Energy supply for the entire hospital operation

Without electricity, nothing works in a Red Cross Emergency Hospital — no operating theatre, no X-ray machine, no sterilisation, no lighting. When necessary, the entire power supply runs on mobile generators operating around the clock.

The GRC Emergency Hospital is designed for full energy self-sufficiency. Multiple generators supply all wards, medical equipment and sanitary facilities. The system is built redundantly: if one generator fails, another takes over — without interrupting supply. In critical areas such as the operating theatre or intensive care, a power outage is not an option.

Fuel supply for the generators is one of the central logistical tasks during ongoing operations. The longer a deployment lasts, the more important a reliable supply chain becomes.
